Social Cohesion

A NATION'S CULTURE RESIDES IN THE HEARTS & IN THE SOUL OF ITS PEOPLE.

RESPECT & LOOK AFTER EACH OTHER.

Social cohesion has been said to be the ‘glue’ that holds people together. Consequently, in the Rwandan Heritage Foundation’s Social Cohesion cluster, our aim is to bring Rwandans of all age, genders, denominations and inclinations together under different activities and endevours in order to build and strengthen this very ‘glue’ that holds us together, for the benefit and development of all concerned. This will then unite fellow Rwandans and sympathizers to truly stand united and together under one banner, to create and maintain an environment of dialogue, inclusion, integration, tolerance, knowledge sharing, progress and equality among Rwandan communities and for each and every Rwandan, wherever they may be.

With this in mind then the Social Cohesion cluster is committed to working with Rwandans from all walks of life, so as to maximize the potential that this ‘glue’ holds for our current and future positive development as Rwandans.

We welcome partnerships, queries and inputs, and we can be reached via the contact details found here on our website.

Culture as people’s way of life is of vital importance as it binds them together, while protects them from being undomesticated. Culture distinguishes people from others, and it should advocate the best possible way of a peaceful cohabitation in the society. It is therefore important that cultures invest in their children, with expectations and recognition that tomorrow’s adults are the products of their childhood. Culture is built on our daily routines and activities in our families and kinsmen, and all these validate the position of the family as central to socialisation that can promote social successes.

History is the study of the past. It is based on both primary and secondary sources (oral or written) that help to explore and understand what, when, how and why an event or events happened. For Rwandans in particular, the unbiased search and desire to understand the changes of the past Rwanda (godly made or mainly made provides a paramount importance in helping the current generation to adapt to the present circumstances and shape the future.
